What types of pro bono services do you offer?
We offer pro bono Canadian trademark and technology law services to selected non-profit and charity clients. For more details, see our About Us page.
Who can apply to receive your pro bono services?
Any non-profit or charity can apply. You will need to provide proof of your non-profit or charitable status.
Do you only accept clients located in Canada?
No, we accept clients from around the world. However, we only provide Canadian legal services, based primarily on the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
Do we have to pay anything for your services?
We will agree in advance on the scope of the pro bono services. You will not be required to compensate us for the services we provide within that scope; however, you will be required to pay for the disbursements charged by third parties (for example, the trademark application fees charged by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office).
Do you offer services to paying clients too?
Yes, through our CREATECH Intellectual Property and Technology Law firm.
How can we apply for your pro bono services?
Please start by filling out our Contact Form. We will review your information and respond to you with any questions.
If we apply, will we become your client?
Not necessarily: we select a limited number of clients, based on our workload and availability. You will not become our client (and we will not be your counsel) unless we have sent you (and you have signed and returned to us) our retainer agreement.
